Honley Male Voice Choir is based in the village of Honley, which is on the outskirts of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. The choir was formed in 1936 by two local enthusiasts whose objectives were to encourage excellence in male singing and to foster good fellowship amongst the members. With a singing membership of about 70, these twin aims are still maintained within the choir with a full concert programme each year and a very active social life.
The choir sings in TTBB format and has a very wide repertoire ranging from 16th century madrigals to 20th century music from the shows and including religious and secular pieces, classical and pop and not forgetting the old favourites such as: Morte Criste, Gwahoddiad and Babylon’s Wave.
Increasingly, elements of music theatre are being introduced into our performances to keep our audiences happy and to attract new, younger members into the choir

This website provides information about the history and formation of the choir, its professional musicians (Musical Director, accompanist and organist ), details of the programme of events for 2007, specific details about important concerts during the year and links to other related organisations.
