The Scavengers are a family orientated club which was formed in August 2000. A few
of us where members of an MCC and decided to leave and start our own MCC. Having no money to start up, we had a car boot sale which went very well and enabled us to open a small bank account and purchase patches. We decided on the name Scavengers because we thought that was what we resembled at the boot sale. The club is still quite small. We are a friendly bunch always ready and waiting to welcome anyone wanting to visit or join. Most of us have rug-rats who we like to involve as much as we can in BBQ's and forest walks. We meet in Robbi Cahoons between Derriaghy & Lambeg on the first and third Sunday of each month. During the winter months we only meet on the first Sunday to keep up with things that are happening & forecoming events. |
