Marc Riley And The Creepers have split up in mysterious circumstances.

A press release from band manager Jim Khambatta says the break-up followed a 'stabbing incident between band members on New Years Eve'. When asked to elaborate, he said: 'it's better than saying it was an 'amicable split'.'

And Riley, a former member of The Fall, said, 'It's a bit of an off situation. I can't say anything at the moment'.

Riley is continuing with Red Rhino Records and Eddie Fenn, drummer, is soon to release an album with his band Bargepole.
