The 40m dipole feed point approx 1ft above ridge mounted on the gable end. Each leg follows the roof slope.

 

As can be seen the legs do not touch anything and although the wires are only a matter of inches from the tiles it does not stop the antenna performing well.

 

Hmmm the legs are 66ft ish on a 40m dipole....i have low plastic gutters (around 6.5ft high house is a dormer) and the remainder of the legs are tied to these superb insulators. Great antenna in limited space.
