If the school is closed for snow or other crisis,
you can continue learning Biology at home.
Upper 4th Biology.
Look at the U4th
Learning List. This shows the learning objectives for each lesson in the
first two terms of the U4 Biology course. Eg lesson 12 is the lesson on TWINS.
Find the most recent lesson you did at school and review it, then proceed
to the next lesson.
You will be able to find a textbook page or workbook page
for each lesson. Answer the questions and make any notes that will
help you to learn that topic.
You will also find useful PowerPoints on U4 Biology topics in the
StudentShare – Science – PowerPoint - KS3 folder. Download these and
read through them.
After Easter – the Summer term – we start the GCSE course. For the lessons
and information, look in the Lower 5th section below. We start with
the topic of Healthy Eating.
Lower 5th and U5th Biology
Go to the GCSE Science revision links page on www.ketteringpumpkins.co.uk
You will see the learning checklists for Lower 5th Core Science,examined
in June. There are Word and PowerPoint versions to download.
The B1a and B1b are for Upper 5th (re-sits only)
For Separate Science Biology and Upper 5th Dual Award, the Additional
Biology, learning lists apply.
For Separate Science only in U5th after January, the Further Biology
list applies.
The How Science Works list applies to everyone throughout the GCSE
course.
Use the relevant learning list and your textbook to find the topic you are
on. You can review your last lesson and then proceed to the next one. Read
the textbook, answer any questions, eg summary questions, answer the relevant
page in your workbook. Use the links to Bitesize and other revision
sites to help you learn and understand the topics.

Sixth form
Go to the school’s Portal https://portal.gdst.net/
and follow the links to the Biology section. In the shared documents you
will find schemes of work for AS and A2. Use these and the textbook
to review recent lessons and move on to the next topic. Answer any questions
