Famous Fugitives

Name: James Didcote

Role in Team: Left arm spinner / Right-hand batsman
Known as: Dids
Date of Birth: 9th January 1979
Birthplace: Abergavenny
Senior Fugitives debut: v Rogerstone 2007
Best Performance for club: 35 at Cefn Forest (July 2007), 4-7 home v Hoovers (Aug 2007)
Favourite Moment in Fugitive career: My debut, my first wicket & beig awarded 1st XI bowler of the year 2007.
Captain / Officer Positions (& Year) 1st XI Captain 2009
Other Cricket Teams played for: Llanarth, Newport, Abergavenny, Glamorgan U-19s, Colts & 2nd XI. Wales & Herefordshire minor counties. Looking at it, I think I've had more clubs that Evs has had rugby clubs!
Cricketing claim-to-fame: Played in the same welsh side as Simon Jones (he was quick then). Being put out of the park and through a set of rugby posts by Tim Munton at Usk CC (a massive hit) whilst playing against Warwickshire. Facing Adrian van Troost when he was at Somerset (very quick - he sent my off stump karting back twice in the same match - didn't even see it). Happy days!
Favourite other sports: Rugby, beach volleyball, badminton
Song to walk on to: ATB - 9pm (to I come), Cascada - Everytime we touch
Often quoted as saying: "That one spun", "Bowling fella", "Good shape" & the old favourite "Shape, shape, shape"
