Location Hugh Stewart Hall is set in the grounds of University Park, 2 miles west of the centre of Nottingham between the A52 and the A6005. Nottingham is served by frequent trains from London (St Pancras), and connections via Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester and Derby. There are direct flights from Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam and Copenhagen to Nottingham (East Midlands) Airport, with a frequent bus service to Nottingham or please contact the Conference Organiser who may be able to arrange for you to be met at the airport From Birmingham airport, take the train from Birmingham International (adjacent to the airport) to Birmingham New Street from where there are frequent trains to Nottingham. From London Heath Row, take the Underground (slow but cheap!) direct to King's Cross/St Pancras, and then the exit to St Pancras Station, from which hourly InterCity trains depart for Nottingham. From London Gatwick, book a ticket direct to Nottingham, and take the Thameslink train to Luton, and change there for frequent trains to Nottingham. There is a direct bus service from Gatwick via Heathrow to Nottingham, at approximately hourly intervals, and taking 5 hrs from Gatwick and 3 hrs 40 mins from Heathrow. It is advisable to book seats in advance. Please contact the Conference Organiser. From London Stanstead, take the train to Nottingham, either direct or with a change at Peterborough. Places to visit in the centre of Nottingham include the Castle (with art gallery), the historic 'Trip to Jerusalem' inn, the Costume Museum, and the Lace Market, with St Mary's Church. On the other side of the A52 from University Park is the Elizabethan Wollaton Hall (now also a natural history museum) and Park.
