Dear Parent/Carer
You are invited along with your son/daughter to our annual Cooper/BCC combined Careers Convention to be held this year from 6.30 to 8.30 pm on Thursday, 13 January 2005 in the Bicester Community College Lower School Hall and L32.
The aim of this Convention is to help students to be better informed of the choice of careers and what is involved, whether it be a job they will enter directly after leaving school or after a period of further education. Whilst there are very few jobs for life, the job market is still quite buoyant and so it is important that students consider carefully a range of careers, the entry requirements, the number of openings, and the long term prospects. The wrong choice of options at GCSE, GNVQ, AS and A2 Level or degree could close a few doors.
A wide range of careers and occupations are covered at this year’s Convention. We hope that all students will take the opportunity to attend and take advantage of all the expertise available from our guests who are giving their time freely.
Yours sincerely
