Dear Parents
The Modern Languages Department are organising a trip to the Christmas
Market and other attractions in Cologne, Germany on 15 and 16 December
2004. We shall travel by coach and ferry arriving in Cologne during
the Wednesday afternoon, we shall arrive back in Bicester late on
Thursday evening.
This is an annual trip we do at this time of year and we think it
is of great value to Year 8 students studying German as it allows
them to visit the country, practice their German and to experience
a different culture and traditional Christmas Market.
The cost of the trip will be £83.00. This includes travel
by coach and cross channel ferry, one night’s half-board accommodation
in shared rooms in a hotel in Cologne, and entrance to the Chocolate
Factory. Students will need to have their own passport. Further
information will be available after half-term.
If your son/daughter would like to go on this trip, they should
bring a deposit of £20.00 and hand it either to Mr Hobbs or
Ms Randle together with the attached reply slip by Wednesday 20
October 2004. The balance of £63.00 is payable by Wednesday
3 November 2004.
