Dear Parent
The Art Department has arranged a visit for Year 10 students to the Pitts Rivers Museum and the Ashmolean Museum, both of which are in Oxford. This visit is designed to meet that part of the Art GCSE specification, which required students to have studies the work of other cultures and artists. This will enable them to become familiar with different styles and techniques in Art.

4th February – Pitt Rivers Museum/Ashmolean Museum – Cost £5 (includes travel by coach and gallery entry is free). |
The coaches will depart from school at 9.00am. Students will be expected to register at school, normal time. The coach is expected to return to Bicester Community College at approximately 3.00pm. We would be grateful if parents would arrange for their children’s usual transport.
Students are allowed to wear casual clothes for this visit and are expected to bring extra money if they would like to buy lunch. They will need to bring sketch pads and cameras. An award will be given for the most inspiring drawing.
Payment, along with the consent form, should be given to Ms Stevens by 21 January the very latest. Any student who has not paid for the visit by the date stipulated will not be able to attend.
Should you wish for any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me on the above number.
Yours sincerely
Ms M Stevens
