Although
formal written homeworks are not normally set on a weekly basis, music
students are set homeworks according to the needs of the class and
at the discretion of their teacher.
Homeworks, when set, are based on the interrelated skills of performing,
listening and appraising. They include the following: |

Information Investigations and Retrieval, using the appropriate
CD Roms and websites |

into work to be covered |

Work
supporting the college’s KS3 Literacy Strategy. This includes
using subject specific terminology in both simple and complex sentences
structures, defining their subjects and objects in sentences when
writing reviews and commentaries, spellings and their contextual
use, and the basic points of grammar. |
| Additional
revision papers will also be made available for students during
the Summer Term to prepare them for the end of year music exam and
presentation.
All homeworks are to be completed in the students Year 7 Manuscript
Book. There is a £1.00 charge for any student who loses this book.
