Useful Cycling Web Links
Route information
An organisation dedicated to off road cycling. They have an extensive routes archive on their site, which is where this link takes you.
Cycle Routes - SE Scotland and NE England
An extensive site with over 80 routes, mainly in Northumberland and Borders.
This Edinburgh based cycle emporium has a wide web-based community and their site includes several routes, predominantly in Scotland.
An excellent site for all things bikey in the Lake District. The link takes you to the routes page, but there's lots more as well.
Don't you just love the government! This site claims to have details of over 70 rides in the Devon area, but only has the very haziest of details - then invites you to buy their route guide. More stealth taxes! Perhaps you can find more useful information than I managed to mine from the site.
Has a few routes in the Essex/Suffolk area, including detailed route descriptions and some GPS files. Not sure if the site is still active as there have been no posts since 2002 and the e-mail bounces.
General Cycling Information
Great general site for off-road biking, though aimed at the more serious downhill and cross country rider. The FAQ and Tips sections have useful technical advice. Try the Video section for some stunning sequences filmed from a helmet mounted camera (but beware: the files are BIG and a broadband connection is a massive help).
Quirky site with lots of good technical information. Fun to use!
Major resource of information on cycling in UK. Biased towards competition. Useful list of cycle clubs and their contacts detail.
