Whinlatter 1 - Summary

Whinlatter Forest is great cycling territory. This route follows Forestry Commission tracks which are generally well made: however, despite their quality, the long ascents and fast descents make this route unsuitable for "family" level riding. The route is actually two loops connected as a figure eight, so can be tackled as two separate rides if one is enough for you at a time
