Carsington Water - Summary

To be frank, Carsington is not my favourite cycling location. It is difficult to get to and the circular route is more hard work than pleasure. However, if you're going anyway, or in the region, it's worth a visit, especially in good weather. There are two levels of route: "Family" and "Easy". The easier Family route is just out and back from the visitor's centre, the Easy is a full circumnavigation. There are plenty of facilities, including bike hire, restaurants etc.

Easy: 11km  circular route

Family: nil

Easy: Less than 200m overall, no severe.

Family: 100% off road

Easy: 75% off road.
