The British Council

The site has around 150 pages, with information about their work, online publications and directories, and is set for a large expansion over the summer. The directory of literature festivals in the UK is the most comprehensive available, and they will be adding to this with online databases on short courses and summer schools in the UK, studying literature at postgraduate level in British universities, and a database of contemporary British writers.

There is a recently completed a site with the BBC World Service on teaching contemporary literature, with a range of extracts from contemporary novels and interactive exercises for readers and teachers: Novel Ways
