THE HIGH COST OF LIVING.

Ok, here follows a brief, and by no means exhaustive price list, just to give a small idea how much your money will get you in the wider universe. Cost is in taylons, for a brand new item, assuming it is legal to obtain where you are and there are no shortages /trade blockades.

TRANSPORT

Ground-car – around 3000T for a standard 5 seater. Up to 4000T for a new Transport/Light cargo Vehicle

Hover-car –around 6000T for 4 seater. 6500T for a cargo Hover

Flyer – Between 8000T and 10000 for a new 10 seater personal flyer.

In Atmosphere Travel – Around 1T per 10KM. Flyer Travel around an extra 20%, barring discounts.

Primespace Travel. Dependent on luggage and quality of transport vessel. A luxury in-system cruise costs around 2000-2500T. ‘Hitchin’ a lift on a tramp-tug that happens to be going your way is normally 100T or less (often not including food) for a short hop.

Intersystem Travel. As above, it depends on how much luxury you want to pay for. Travel between systems costs around 1200T on a reputable, no frills passenger ship, which will be traveling down a recorded and safe GK trade-lane. No deviations, security checks as standard and a fairly quick travel time. Fine if you want to get somewhere well known and well travelled. Travel by Thread space vessel is slower, and therefore costs around 25% less. Travel by Fold-space is astronomically expensive, due to the danger money requested by the crew, and the hefty fees required by the Sl’a navigators (around 50% on top, at least).

Most anyone looking to get out of system without going through too many security stations, going somewhere off the beaten path or just more cheaply will book themselves bunk space on a free-trader vessel or bulk cargo ship. Whilst the accommodation isn’t up to much, it’s a lot cheaper, costing between 500 to 700T for a berth. This is normally arranged between the captain and the individual passenger, and any ‘additions’ to the roster (extra cargo, ‘we’d like to avoid any imperial entanglements’ etc) is likely to raise the price a fair ways.
