This pendant was found in Epping Forest (near London. England) some years ago. It was taken to The British Museum and to The Museum of London for identification. The British Museum at first thought that it was saxon/viking in origin but later changed their minds and said it was modern paste jewelery, and not even silver. The Museum of London said it was silver and thought it was 18th centuary celtic revival work. As you can see it is about the same size as a British two pence coin (25mm).

In 2004 I managed to get a Metallurgical analysis done and it is made up of a mixtire of pewter, silver and tin. Not as old as it looks and probably Victorian
