This is CGX 61H. A Triumph Herald 1200 saloon.
Built in late 1969 and finished in 'Valencia blue'.

Credit for all the welding and spraying goes to Martin Bird, from New Romney in Kent.
He made an excellent job of all that he did and without his effort the project would never have started.

Most of the pictures speak for themselves. It has of course taken much longer than I thought and there is still a lot left before we are back on the road (as yet I have nothing to sit on!)

Lots of rust everywhere The more I took it apart the more I found.

I had planned to do all the work myself (HA! HA!) but soon realised that I needed some expert help.
After a visit to The Bromley Pagent, I got in touch with Martin Bird, who thought it was saveable - just!

We got it trailered down to his large workshop/garage in Greatstone, New Romney, and within a few hours the poor car was reduced to a pile of rusty bits.

The next group of pictures show the extent of the rust and Martins skills at repairing what seemed to be pure rust
