The cards of this series are reprints of pages from a c1935 booklet ('The Champion Album of Famous Footballers' Autographs & Photographs') into which the collector had to glue the autographs of the players.

The Richards Collection, 'Sporting Stars' trade cards

The word on these is that there were only ever FIVE sets printed and that the producer (Harry Richards of Dudley) kept one set for himself. Keen-eyed collectors will notice the similarity to the previous Fosse and Mickey Durling collections. Strangely, there seems to be a variety of backs and artists. In addition, the date is a guess - I know that it is late-1990s, so until I can pinpoint it, this will suffice!
