A. & J. Donaldson (Commercial) '500 Sports Favourites (small head - black back)' trade cards (Trade Ref: DOZ-1b)

19. Peter Doherty

22. Albert Nightingale

364. Eddie Boot

455. Albert Bateman

526. Vic Metcalfe

The story goes that Donaldson ceased trading before the 500+ cards went on issue to the public, but a few managed to find their way into the system. That's why this particular card is so rare - and expensive!

Carreras Ltd. '50 'Turf' Slide Famous Footballers' plain back

46. Peter Doherty

Trimmed from a packet ...

... an uncut card from a packet of 10s ...

... and an uncut 'pair' from a packet of 20s, also featuring George Hardwick of Middlesbrough.

Provincial Sport Magazine 'Huddersfield Town' unnumbered paper trade

On the back there is the FULHAM team of 1948

S. & B. Products (Commercial) '64 Torry Gillick's Internationals' trade cards (Trade Ref: SAB-1)

There were a number of different printings to this set - I have included as many as I can lay my hands on!

58. Peter Doherty

Blue back, number BELOW titles

58. Peter Doherty

Black back, number ABOVE titles

58. Peter Doherty

Dark green back, number BELOW titles

58. Peter Docherty (sic)

Blue back, number BELOW titles

A rarity - two errors here; the player's name and the team are both spelt incorrectly and in addition, the last line "One of the greatest ...", present on all other printings, is absent.

Sunnyvale 'Cigarette' Card, '16 Football Series'

 Trade card (Trade Ref: SUST-1)

Originally issued in pairs, this one was connected to Stanley Matthews.
