The Will of Robert Bestwick of Nottingham 1681
In the name of God Amen. I Robert Bestwick of the towne and County of the towne of Nottingham the elder butcher being weke in body but of perfect minde and memory paised be God do make and ordayne this my last will & testament in maner & forme following as to that worldly estate which God has blessed me withal I dispose of as followeth
In primis I give and bequeathe unto my loving wife Ann Bestwick all that my house messuage or tenement wherein I now live with all appurtenances their unto belonging standing and being in the ??????? street or place in the towne and County of the towne of Nottingham called Pilchergate during her natural life and after her decease I give the said house messuage or tenement with all appurtanences unto my sonne Robert Bestwick him and his heirs for ever. And I give unto his three children for Mary Ann Bestwick twenty shillings apiece
Item I give all my personal estate goods catell & chattels whatsoever unto my loving wife Ann Bestwick and my daughter Elizabeth Bestwick whom I do make my true joynt and lawfull executors of this my last will & testament & I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made for witness. I Have hereunto set my hand and seale this twentieth day of December in the yeare of our Lord god 1681
