I am Roderick Gladwish, an amateur illustrator with a passion for SF. I am also a professional spacecraft engineer with a passion for SF.

I have been drawing spacecraft since before I can remember. It was no surprise to anyone except me, that I ended up working for company that builds spacecraft. Funny thing is until I 'discovered' the web in 1999 I did nothing about my pictures. Since then, despite my day job, I have produced illustrations for UK small press magazines and done some book cover work with independent authors.

Due to poor self-control I write fiction too. My short stories have been published in all sorts of places. In 2008 I won the British Science Fiction Association's 50th Anniversary Short Story Competition. My short story writing has gone a bit flat while I work on a couple of novels. The first, a children's historical adventure is complete and in search of a publisher. Unfortunately it's lead to a second, but there you go, when the muse strikes.
