Pagans the church calls them, faithless, devil worshippers, heathens and more. But the truth is that Christianity is still a new-born religion, wide and diverse it's spread may be, but young nevertheless.
The older faith, it's beliefs passed through hundreds of generations still cling in the minds and the history of the land as the church expands ever further. Here and there, it still lives on, in few decreasing mortals and in the Lhiannan clan.
The Lhiannan understand the circle, they are created from the earth mother, their grand-many-times-removed sire whom created the line. Their connection, their beliefs, their resolve is what ties them so closely to the circle, and makes their faith shine, in their deeds, in their actions, in their minds and in their very blood.
So, is the ease that one can read the aura of a Lhiannan a weakness? Most would say so. And especially in these dark times it makes the nature of one of the clan so easy to detect. But those who have touched the aura of a Lhiannan, and have seen beyond the flickering pale and swirling colours that define the basic nature of the vampire they are looking at have seen the gold of the spiritually touched. Not a halo around them but an edge, a flame at the very edge of the colours that define their soul, ringed, ringed with the gold of those for whom their faith is an intimate part of their being.
So how, if the Lhiannan are so spiritual, how is it that they are so vulnerable to faiths of all types, how is it that their faith is a weakness to them, not a shield?
Faith is a two edged sword, faith opens your eyes to possibilities beyond the material world, faith reveals much to the true believer and faith can blind you, faith can shackle you to ways lost centuries before, ways that the church would prefer to die away in the night.
The Lhiannan's faith, so tuned to their nature, so important to their beliefs and ways is their weakness; for them their faith is the key to their existence, purpose, their history and line. This faith is why they yield so easily to faith magick, to the cross and prayer of the Christian, or any other belief; for in embracing their faith in their blood and accepting the circle their have opened their souls to the ways of others as well, the door to their soul is more open than anothers hence all faiths, all causes can touch their being as easily as their own beliefs.
But then, those Lhiannan whom become so in tune that they achieve a state of true faith to the sire of their line, find a state of being so vivid, so vibrant that they often become people changed beyond recognition. Their dreams swim with images, prophecy and events from past and future that have great importance to them. Although in these dark days for the clan it would be rare for anything other than omens of doom to visit the faithful.
System:
Anyone attempting to read the aura of a Lhiannan does so with their difficulties reduced by two. For example a vampire using the auspex power 'soulsight' on a Lhiannan requires only 6 for a success, rather than the usual 8.
In addition those achieving at least three successes will notice something odd about the Lhiannan's aura, the hint of an outer halo flickering around the normal halo one would expect. Five successes reveal that the outer halo actually entirely encases the halo of the Lhiannan, a faint gold shroud lapping at its edges like waters of a lake.
Lhiannan resisting faith magic do so at 2 difficulties higher, or any use of faith magic by an individual is 2 difficulties easier. For example a prayer to cause a vampire to flee in terror normally has a difficulty of the vampires willpower +4, for a Lhiannan this would be their willpower +2.
