The Clansman
The vampire known only as 'the clansman' is said to the last of his line and he guards the lands of his birth jealously from kindred, lupine and mortals alike. His name, and the name of the clan from which he came have been lost to time.
Even the werewolves of Fianna give Loch Maree a wide berth, the Scots highlands are traditionally their lands - and their birthright. But the chill waters of the lake are not always silent. Legends speak of a beast which stalks the area, rising when when moons reflection first touches the waters of the loch; a beast that can kill with the merest of glances and whos terrible screams can drive men mad.
A Nosferatu vampire who claimed to have seen him said that the clansman controls the beast of the loch, but the lupines maintain that it is the clansman himself who is the beast - driven mad by the loss of his kin.
Whatever and whoever he may be, the loch and the ancient caern at it's edge are a sight few care to risk trying to see.
