The AGM of the league was held on Tuesday 22nd March at The Five Bells.
Chairman , Vice Chairman and Secretary were voted in unopposed.
There was a change to rule 6 ( Teams ). It was voted in that teams will comprise of 6 singles and three pairs making it possible for a team to comprise of between 6 & 12 players. 9 games per match.
Fees stay at £25
No sponsor this year but the league has enough in the pot to pay the bills.
3 teams dropped out , Black Horse A , Black Horse B and Crown but we are pleased to welcome The Anchor back so this year the league will comprise 8 teams :-

There was a request to rewrite rule 3 ( Qualification for Entrance ) as the league has expanded and takes in teams from a far wider area than it used to however it was felt that the rule should be left in place so as to prevent teams from abusing it and bringing in Super league players from farther afield as has happened in the past. A request to register a young lad from Newmarket by The Five Bells B was registered and was approved.
All else stayed the same so as always Good Luck and let The Darts Commence.
Rule 6
Can I draw peoples attention to rule 6. We had an incident recently where it became apparent that maybe the rule is not clear. Just to clarify you can pick your 6 singles out who are to be drawn if you so wish but not your pairs. Any players not drawn in the first 6 are entered for the pairs , out of the 6 singles players enough are drawn out to make 6 players for the pairs. To reiterate you cannot pick out your pairs.
Glenn gets a 7 darter.
Dykes End captain Glenn Newman scored a 7 dart leg against Pete Eusden in the match against the HalfCrown on 19th April. A double 7 in was followed by 19 , T19 , T19 , T20 ,
T18 and Double Top out. Brilliant darts.
Problems with Google Chrome
If you are using Google Chrome as your web browser and you have managed to view this
homepage then you will know there are problems viewing this website i.e. It opens
in last years home page and fixtures and rules show last years entries. Unfortunately
this is a problem with Google. It works fine in Internet Explorer and Firefox. I
will log an incident report with google and see if they can help me to fix it. In

Newmarket and District Clubs Dart League AGM
