Welcome to the Dore G&S Society website.

The Dore Gilbert and Sullivan Society was founded in 1970 and produced their first show HMS Pinafore in 1972. Since then the society has gone from strength to strength.

The Society has a good reputation for producing high quality performances of G&S operettas and concerts of more varied music throughout the year. Our main production is in April at the University Drama Studio, Glossop Road, Sheffield.

We are always eager to welcome new members, so if you are over 16yrs old and are interested in finding out more, please visit our Contact Information page and get in touch. We rehearse from September to April on Wednesday nights at Millhouses Methodist Church Hall from 7:45-10:00pm.

TroubaDores:

TroubaDores (formerly known as Dore Chimes) is the concert group generated from within Dore G&S Society. They perform some G&S but also other styles of music. They are available for concerts and functions and if you would like to know more, please contact Jenny Bland
