programme of events
The primary focus of the EMUP is to meet monthly over the winter, share ideas and to sit and listen to an excellent invited speaker.
Each month we will have a theme, be it travel, photographic technique, film making, UK diving. The list is endless.
Each month we will also have a themed competition, which will be judged by our guest speaker. We aim to encourage beginners, so as well as a general winner, each month there will be a beginners winner.
Tuesday 7th October John Wallis
John's talk centres on what topside photography can teach us as underwater photographers.
Tuesday 4th November The Photoshop Evening
Photoshop, and other image manipulation programs for that matter, are a key part of underwater photography nowadays. The plan for this evening is to have a number of laptops at with exerienced people showing their skills.
Tuesday 2nd December Trevor Rees My manipulated images
Trevor has won several awards for stunning images that have been manipulated using Photoshop, often blending two images together. Trevor will show how it is done, his ideas and no doubt there will be a lively discussion of the ethics.

Jane Morgan has confirmed she can talk at EMUP early in 2009. The intention is to have another top quality talker for the May meeting. Sadly Martin Edge has had to postpone his talk, but hopefully I can confirm a worthy replacement before too long!
A number of talks will be given by EMUP members at the EMUP talker evenings.
