welcome to EMUP
Welcome to the home of the East Midlands Underwater Photgraphers.
EMUP is a collective of underwater photographers, underwater film makers, divers, non-divers and anyone interested in nature. We aim to promote the fantastic underwater world and in doing so we aim to inspire people to take up diving, learn more, or improve their underwater photography.
EMUP will put on eight monthly talks, roughly mid-month, on a Tuesday evening. Each month we will offer a talker on a given subject and offer a light hearted competition on a relevant theme to that months talk. This is nothing serious, just the opportunity to show off your work. We aim to promote new photographers and so each month our competition will include a beginners catagory.
EMUP launched in October 2007. On this website you will find initial information, which with time I hope will develop into a useful resouce for midlanders interested in underwater photography.
Please get involved, the more that we put in the more we should get out.

Publicity is getting the message out there. Lots of interest via various forums (YD, Digigreen, BSAC, Divernet), articles in Underwater Photography Magazine, online at Diver, and an email shot to all dive clubs within a decent area of Stoney Cove.
Have secured more talkers, including Alex Mustard, Jane Morgan, JP Trenque, Sam Bean and Rob Bailey. No finalised dates yet - watch this space!!
