boogi loushou are a "Rock, Power Trio" from Glasgow who are on a quest to become the next major rock act to come out of Scotland. And so far so good!

In October 2005, following many months of auditions, Robert Termer, Guitarist, Andy Heede, Vocalist/ Bass, and Drummer, Edward Waite, became better known as boogi loushou.

A demo was sent to the producer of "Live at Abbey Road" and former Drummer of Mike & The Mechanics, Producer Peter Van Hooke at Abbey Road studios. Peter strongly believed the band had lots of potential and advised the band that to make it in the music business, they would need to produce a quality recording that would do the songs justice.

boogi loushou were offered the opportunity to produce and record their first 3 song EP at Peter Van Hooke's Lost Island Studios in La Gomera, Canaries Islands, with Rock Drummer and Record Producer Shaun Hawkes.

Since our return from Lost Island Studios, boogi loushou have been gigging extensively all over Glasgow.

We have been overwhelmed by the impact the band has had "The public have been fantastic, the amount of feedback we've had is unbelievable". On our myspace website our EP has had over 20,000 downloads.

boogi loushou have also received airplay on such shows as the Jim Gellatly's Show (XFM), Thea Newcomb's Show (Q96) and on The Tartan Podcast, TPN Rock Podcast and The Unsigned Rock Podcast Websites.

We have also been featured in The Evening Times "New Band Spotlight" and a lead feature in The Lennox Herald.

boogi loushou's songs are created and evolve from the heart and soul. We perform our music with honesty and technical musical ability. The band and songs are driven from the drums and the dynamics that are generated can only be achieved from a three piece. Our songs are energy driven and catchy. They all have something to say and they get to the point quick.(Although we do have a few that are slightly more laid back!) I can honestly say I struggle to think who we sound like. What ever influences have been emulsified into our psyche's, its subliminal and not in our thoughts as we write and arrange our songs.

The good thing is that so far the people who have listened to our music are struggling to decide who we sound like and what kind of Rock we could be labelled as. I hope we can create a new kind of Rock?? It might be a subtle shift, but in this fast and ever changing planet we live. A subtle change in a music genre is rare! I believe boogi loushou is a very special three piece band. Not only because of the music, but because of the chemistry and passion the three of us feel when we are together.

What our label Dragonstorm Records say about us...

Their sound is far bigger than a three piece band, which draws you into the core of their music leaving you wanting more. Their refreshingly unique approach to rock music stands out from any other rock band. With their radio friendly hooks, great harmonised guitar solos and compelling vocals, with a good ear for melody. Their relaxed and confident stage presence commands the attention of their audiences, who enjoy every moment of their set. For a band who have only been together for a short time, they are truly outstanding! Demonstrated by the signing to a Label after only a year of being together. They have a strong following and have had in the region of 20,000 downloads on myspace.. Their single “Serrated” is hard hitting power driven rock with a commercial sound. They are a vibrant and unique addition to the music industry.
