economy and driving comfort. The importance of thinking about what

| Pre-driving checks and preparation – cockpit drill |
What you need to do before getting in the driving
seat, once you are in the car and before you move off. |
| Introduction of the ‘System of Car Control’ |
A description, with examples, of the systematic procedure
of controlling a car adopted by police drivers for negotiating all
types of hazards and which is completely applicable to all normal
road driving and which forms the basis of the rest of the course. |
