Lennie
Linked With Blues Post
from: Teamtalk
Town boss Lennie Lawrence has been linked with the
managerial vacancy at Birmingham City following the demise of Trevor Francis at
St Andrews.
Francis left the Blues by mutual consent and Lawrence's name has been whispered
in high places for a few weeks now.
Birmingham would have to make a formal approach to the Mariners if they wanted
to talk to Lawrence and no doubt compensation would be sought, but money would
seem to be no object for the West Midlands outfit.
Town
Track Ylonen
Grimsby
Town are believed to be tracking Finnish international full back Harri Ylonen.
The defender is currently plying his trade with Norwegian side Brann, although
it is believed that the former team-mate of Knut Anders Fostervold first came
to the attention of Lennie Lawrence whilst playing for Molde.
Ylonen will
be available on a free transfer at the end of the season after he refused the
offer of a new contract with the Tippaliagen outfit, and his agent has
confirmed that he is the subject of interest from a variety of English First
and Second Division clubs
