1-2 Years (29th May 2000-28th May 2001)
Milestones
James could build a tower of 3 bricks at 13 months. At 14 months James learnt how to climb up his slide, it took him a bit of time to learn howw to come down but managed on the 26 July 2000. Also at the age of 14 months on the 2nd August he was able to build a tower of 7 bricks. James is very good at climbing and at 14 months he could climb onto the settee. James first stood on the sand and paddled in the sea on the 23rd August 2000 at 15 months. James had his hair cut for the first time on 21st September 2000 at 16 months. James was potty trained at the age of 23 months he didn't want to wear nappies any more and came out of them on the 13th April 2001 (Good Friday). At the age of 2 Years he can do 3 year old puzzles.
Food
James is vegetarian the same as Rob and myself. He is starting to be a bit fussy about his food. He will no longer eat carrots or most veg but does like peas and sweetcorn. He will not eat most Soya but does like cheese and baked beans. He loves Blackcurrant & apple Squash.
Teeth
At 19 months James has 8 teeth and a 9th is just coming through. By 2 years he has got all his teeth
Speech
At 14 months he can say "up" and he points up at the same time. "Tiddy" which means teddy and "No". At 19 months James favorite saying is "No Way" when you ask him for a kiss. He has a good range of words and knows the sounds for cat, duck and lion. By the age of 2 James knows the sounds for most animals and can say lots of words. He is also able to tell you what he has been doing in the day, i.e. a few weeks ago he was sick on a bus and that night on the phone he told Rob (Daddy) "Sick bus". James loves watching Bob the Builder and has picked up the saying, "Think So" from Lofty on there.
Favorite Things and Play Time
James still has his 3 favorite teddy's, Baa baa, Peter Rabbit & Moris Monkey, that he had as a baby and also loves playing with his racing car ride on. He really loves Thomas the Tank Engine and has a few books about him that we aways have to read and a wooden train set with a few of Thomas engines. He will play for hours with his trains and cars and by the age of 2 he no longer needs our help to buld tracks. James also loves to watch Thomas the Tank Engine on TV along with Winnie The Pooh, Bob The Builder and Bear In The Big Blue House. James enjoyed sticking and crafty things. James still loves the piano and since the death of his Grandfather in Sepember 2000 we have had the piano at ours and he plays it most days. James still likes playing with Sam and James and also has a new friend from toddlers called Tammy.
