0-1 Years (29th May 1999-28th May 2000)
Milestones
I can't remember all the dates of James' first milestones but can remember his age. He first smiled and supported his head at the age of 3 weeks. James first laughed on the 12th July 1999 at the age of 6 weeks, he was also 6 weeks when he held head up. He first babbled at 8 weeks. He was 13 weeks when he first turned his head from side to side. At 14 weeks he learnt to lift his head when he was on his tummy and recognised us. At 17 weeks he first reached for a toy and he was 20 weeks when he first played with his feet and held a toy. He was just a little older at 5 months when he first was able to sit in his highchair. He first rolled from his back to front at 21 weeks and 4 weeks later at 25 weeks he learnt to roll the other way, he was also 21 weeks when he first sat alone on the 21/10/1999. He was 7 months when he first stood on his own. James first used a spoon on 10/12/1999 at 28 weeks, a few days later we had our first snow fall on the 15/12/1999. 2 weeks later on Christmas day he learnt to pull himself to his feet in his cot, he was 30 weeks. In January at the age of 7 months he learnt to crawl on the 11th January and to pass an object from one hand to the other. In Feburary he climbed the stairs on the 27th at 8 months, I was behind him but didn't need to help. On 21st April 2000 (Good Friday) at the age of 10.5 months James took his first 3 steps unaided at his Nanny's in Hemel Hempstead. James is trying to run at a year and his walking is very good.
Food
James was weaned at just before 4 months and had a very good appetite. He loved his food and wanted to share whatever anyone was eating. His favorite foods were carrot and chocolate. His favorite drinks were my milk or water which is all he was given until 1 year.
Teeth
James cut his first tooth on 18th February 2000 at 8 1/2 months old and it is front bottom. On the 16th March 2000 cut second tooth at 9 1/2 months and it is the top front. James has now cut four tooth. He cut the fourth on the 28th March 2000 at 10 months.
Speech
James was 8 months when he said his first word Dada for daddy, his next word was mama for me. He used duck for all animals for ages. After a bit he said cat for Onion our cat. In his first year he also said look and there while pointing.
Favorite Things and Play Time
James had a few favorite toys Baa baa - soft lamb from Granny which was also his comforter, Peter Rabbit soft toy from Granparents & Moris Monkey soft monkey that came with a little short suit he had from some of my Camra friends 
(still has them all at 7years) Colin Crocodile activity soft toy, Baby gym at home and the one up Granny and Granddad's, Mega Bloks building bricks and cars. James loved singing and his favorites were Baa baa black sheep, Farmers in his Den and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - which he was able to do some of the actions to. He loved listening to music and when up his Grandparents he would enjoy listening to his Grandfather playing the paino. We watched a bit of TV together and his favorites were Teletubbies and Tweenies and other under 5 programs with lost of songs and music that he would dance along to. He loved to play Peek-a-boo and we often got fed up before he did. His Grandfather brought him Rumplestilskin with sounds story book that James loved to listen to. He loved going up to see his grandparents and they were is favourite people apart from Me and Rob. He also loved playing with Sam and James to children that lived a few doors away from us.
