0-1 Years (3rd August 2001-2nd August 2002)
Milestones
Here are all of Christopher's milestones for his first year. His first smile was 04 September 2001 when he was 3 weeks. It was the 11th September 2001 at 1 month that he first held his head up. He was 5 months when he first held an object in his hands. He was 22 weeks when he was first able to sit unaided. At 6 months Christopher first fed himself with finger foods, at 7 months he first rolled over. On the 24th Febuary 2002 at the age of 26 weeks he first slept through the night. On the 10th April 2002 at 8 months he first sits himself up, and first used a spoon to fed himself, he was also 8 months when he first picks up an object with his finger and thumb. He learnt to crawl on the 30th April 2002 at the age of 9 months and the next day, the 1st May 2002 he took his first steps with his baby walker but then refuses to do it again for 2 months 13th July 2002 at the age of 11 months holding my hands which was the same day he first stands unaided.
Food
Christopher was not weaned till 6 months after lots of heartache as my health visitor said to start weaning him at 4 months but he was not ready so we had 2 months of hell. Christopher now loves his food and sometimes eats more than James. The only foods that we have found that he does not like is ice-cream and Tofu which Rob and myself also don't like. His favorite foods are bread sticks, rice cakes, dried fruit compote, patato, my mums cauliflower cheese, cheese spread sandwiches and his favorite drinks were my milk and water. Christopher is being tested for Coeliac Disease as since being weaned and on wheat is weight gain has been very slow. On the 1st May 2002 we were told to take him of wheat for 4 weeks and in that time his weight shot up so he than had to have a blood test. The blood test was done on the 14th June 2002 after first having to be back on wheat for 2 weeks. The results took just over 2 weeks to come back and showed that Christopher had a reaction to wheat so has got a hospital appoiment for 19th September. We are still praying that it is all just because he was weaned before he was ready.

Speach
Christopher is a very vocal baby, with a very loud scream when he is happy. He said his first word on 1st March 2002 it was Mama closely followed by Daddy. At 10 months he can say Tar and Co-co and Mummy. 23/06/2002 Christopher said hello and bye for the first time today.
We are using baby signing with Christopher to help him to communicate with us and have brought a video to help with this called 'Sing and Sign' . The first sign that he used was eat when I put him in his highchair. He now uses that sign loads and can say eat which makes him feel so clever. If you can I would use baby signing as it can really help you and your baby not only with learning to communicate to each other but your baby will learn new words easer.
Favorite Things and Play Time
Christopher had 1 favorite soft toy that James got him for his first Christmas called Co-Co 
which was a small brown bear, his 2 other favorite toys a V-Tech bug & V-Tech bee. Christopher only had 1 favouite song that I had to sing again and again which was Hush a bye baby. Christopher watch TV with James he loved Teletubbies. Him and James loved playing peek a boo together. Christopher liked nothing more than playing with Daddy, James and myself, he also liked playing with Sam and Katie from down the road. Christopher loved his thumb.
