The Annual Sponsored Walk / Run on
of approximately 4 miles took place on Good Friday, 10th April 2009 Sponsorship monies may be split 50% to Club funds and 50% to charity or 100% to the 2009 chosen charity - JIGSAW (Joint Initiative Group for Stroke Awareness & Wellbeing)
The event at Darcy Lever
was very well attended by rounders players, their families and members
of JIGSAW. Every entrant completed
the course.
The overall winner was Debra Richards of Coronado Ladies who completed the course in 24 minutes. 1st Junior was Jake Cooper and 1st Rounders Player was Amelia Patel of Darcy Lever E.
The entrants raised £700+ for this year's nominated
charity JIGSAW.
Sponsorship monies should be collected
as soon as possible and sent to the Rounders Treasurer Joanne Holden.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the event and to Darcy
Lever Cricket Club for their hospitality.
