II V I excercise
Chords in both hands using inversions and with extensions in right handTry out this exercise for the II V I pattern, one of the most frequent patterns in jazz. To get a smooth progression inversions are used on the dominant seventh chord in the left hand ( B7, A7 etc).
Practise the left hand first, and later add the right hand which adds the ninth to the minor seventh chords and major seventh chords and ninth and 13th to the dominant sevenths.
