How to use the chart.

The major chord (triad) is the root third and fifth.
So chord symbol "F" = F A C
The seventh is normally the flat seventh so F7 = F A C Eb
But Fma7 chord symbol is F A C E
F9 assumes flat seventh so would be F A C Eb G
But F ma9 indicates major seventh and is therefore F A C E G
F13 assumes flat seventh again and will be F A C Eb G D
F6 is the major triad plus added sixth = F A C D

If flat ninth is specified lower the ninth by one semitone so F7 b9 = F A C Eb Gb

F+ indicates augmented chord - fifth is raised a semitone - F A C#
Other possibilities are flat fifth (eg F7 b5) = F A B Eb
