Two of the many 2-gallon petrol cans in use before petrol stations were common.

This Redline was purchased for eight pounds. It has been repainted matching what was left of the original colours.

This can is not one of the rare ones. The deposit on the can was three shillings (15p).

The date of 1937 is just visible in the picture below

This Esso can has seen better days but it still holds petrol OK.
