MY PHOTOGRAPHS
"..Okay, I'm not the worlds greatest Photograph taker but I have done various
courses and modules in photography over the years and these Black and White
Photographs found here were actually the basis of an idea for one of my Art
Foundation Projects but never really followed up on developing it any further.."
"..Actually I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, and dare I say it if you are
willing to pay money for any of these pictures I could probably knock one up in a
frame for you and sell it on to you, so if you are intrested just let me know,
because me actually selling some of my work would look great on my CV!!.."

"PICTURE 1: (ABOVE LEFT) Is a view taken from the corner of the Butler Street Car
Park, it shows the bank of rubble that remains where the Boothen End once stood, the old
wall behind the back of the Boothen End is also visible.
PICTURE 2: (ABOVE RIGHT) You probably wonder what the hell it is but I bet that if you
are a Stoke fan you would of made this walk many times after a game on your way home.. Its
a view of the steps at the back of the Boothen End leading on to Boothen Road.. then Sioette
of the old red gate is also visible at the bottom of the steps.. Just think, How many feet have
walked on this concrete in the years gone by?? ...... Erm.. no.. I don't actually know the
answer, I was being Hypothetical! Sorry!...

PICTURE 3: (ABOVE LEFT) What the hell is that? I here you cry, well some of these
pictures are very personal and taken in an almost abstract way for an Art Project, this one
especially.. Again it shows the Boothen end steps that lead you up from out of Boothen Road,
but instead of walking down them this time its taken looking up the steps, with the sunlight
casting an eire image of the red gate behind on to the cold , hard concrete steps...
PICTURE 4: (ABOVE RIGHT) Okay, again this shows the top of the steps that lead up from
Boothen Road to the back of the Boothen End, but this time when you climb to the top in the
picture you see a very sad site as the steps that Stoke fans were so used to climbing on match
days now leads you to a pivital view of a desolate Victoria Ground...

PICTURE 4: (ABOVE LEFT) .. Your probably thinking I have a thing about old concrete
steps, don't you?, well yes.. here they are again, the old steps that lead up to the Boothen end
from Boothen Road, this time from a slightly different angle, the sun delicatly catches the
brim of each set with the old wall situated at the back of the Boothen End stretching off in to
the background...
PICTURE 5: (ABOVE RIGHT) .. Yep, You guessed it, Steps again, this time taken at the
edge of where they used to connect to the "Sir Stanley Matthews Suite" on the corner of teh
Boothen and and Boothen Stand, only now there is nothing, appart from the waste land of
where the Butler Street Stand once stood...

PICTURE 6: (ABOVE) This happens to be one of my favorites, The sun shines down after a
storm, reflecting brightly in to a puddle on the old Butler Street Car Park. After having a Car
Park Season ticket on the swamp known as the Butler Street car park I kind of miss the
murky puddles and wet shoes that I used to get each match day...
