14.04.08 - Yes, I hope you haven't noticed too much, but I have been trying to keep on top of things here at The Grain without the use of the Internet. Five long months (thanks Virgin Media!). It’s been tough, but I am back now --- back on the ball. In other news, Cristina and I are engaged, soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Grain Division. Hurrah!

06.03.08 - The Grain Division studio has been busy of late. We recorded the basic parts for six track by fabulous The Revelator Band last weekend and recently completed mixes for single tracks by Sergeant Lewis (Selling Myself) and Silverlode (Chillblind). Next weekend, The Grain Division and Edel Doherty are teaming up again to shoot the next video for Silverlode (Hades)

Our internet radio station, the origin of The Grain Division - we began broadcasting on May 10th 2003 as an experement in sharing our alternative musical tastes. We are based in Leeds in the UK, an exciting city where music thrives.

The station is automated and plays music 24/7 with live broadcasts through the week. Our regularly updated playlists draws from a huge catalogue of contemporary excellence, vintage classics, obscure beauty and unsigned Featured Artists. Our speciality is 'interesting rock' and 'alternative' music. This is a legal online radio station and royalties are paid via Live365.com.

We play stuff that people send us - if we dig it. So if you're in a happenin' clever band, or if you are a swingin' solo artist, and make what we might consider to be 'interesting' and/or 'alternative' original music, then send them in to The Grain Division.

We'll feature your music on our station and link you on the site. It may also also open up the oportunity to play one of our excellent live music events.
