I
have had an interest in all types of wildlife for as long as I can recall and
have a particular interest in birds . I believe that an acurate piece of taxidermy
that is both anatomicaly accurate and lifelike can not be reproduced without
a knowledge and genuine interest in studying the living creature
One
of the advantages of being a full time self employed taxidermist is that I have
time to get out and study living creatures and dedicate more time to Falconry
with which I have been involved since my early childhood days. I am a member
of the British falconers club and Raptor rescue(a charity dedicated to the rehabilitation
of sick and injured birds of prey) I am also involved with caring for various
injured birds and later release back to the wild, something that I feel alows
me to give a little back to nature
Membership
of the guild of taxidermists has helped to significantly increase the quality
of my work through their seminars and conferences and would recommend anyone
with an interest in taxidermy to contact them
