This page contains all those odd
little snippets of information that you probably don't
want to know, or perhaps you do.
Easter egg -- Spybot Search and Destroy.
In the computer world, an easter egg is a hidden feature,
usually a message, visual effect, or game, hidden in a
program by its creator. Usually they aren't worth the
effort of finding (IMOP), but I saw this one mentioned in
Micromart and thought it looked better than usual.
It is contained within Spybot, the popular antispyware program. If you
click on the small binoculars by the title (it will work
with any of the title logos), a sound will play and a
game will show.

The object of the game, is to fully
reveal Da Vinci's classic picture of a spreadeagled
man. You do this by moving from block to block, using the
knights move in chess, that is an "L" shaped
move, three blocks, by two. Available moves are shown, so
you will soon see what I mean.
The game is considerably harder than it looks, it's hard
to get the edge blocks. I haven't managed to successfully
complete it, so I don't know what happens if you do,
perhaps there is another surprise.
Windows Tip.
This tip works with XP Home. (It may work with Pro, but I
haven't got it, so I couldn't say. )
Instead of having to wait for the entire Control Panel to
load, you can alter the menu settings so that it expands
into a normal menu list, allowing you to select the
section you want immediately.
Right click the Start button and select Properties -- select the Start Menu tab -- press the Customize button.
If you are using the standard menu select the Advanced tab -- Start Menu
Items -- Control
Panel -- Display As
Menu.
If you are using the classic menu select Expand
Control Panel.
About
this site and me.
This site was born on the 15th of July 2003 in Great
Britain, I previously had a small site on Freewebs, but
this is my first proper site, it was created using
Frontpage Express and a little bit of manual coding.
I initially decided to build a web site so that I could
have somewhere to put my game Square Puzzle which I
created using Game Maker, but the site has grown
considerably over time as I have added various items of
interest.
I first used computers for a few years back in the
seventies, but have only recently become interested in
them again with the advent of the home computing boom, I
enjoy maintaining this web site and playing some games,
mainly puzzles, old fashioned scrolling shooters and Real
Time Strategy games, I also like testing freeware
utilities.
As well as computing I like fish keeping (Coldwater) and
cycling, luckily I live in a village with the countryside
nearby, so I have some nice cycle routes close by,
although with the continual spread of dual carriageway
roads and business parks in my area, the countryside is
diminishing quite rapidly.
I hope you enjoy your visit to my site and please come
again.
Rob.
My Pictures
These Pictures were taken with a Style cam
blink, a good little digital camera for fun pictures.
This is a very nice
fish keeping shop, off the A1 near Henlow (I can't
remember the shops name), it has a massive selection of
tanks, accessories and fish. In the grounds of the shop
is a large pond containing some of the biggest Koi carp I
have ever seen, there is also a large display of
fountains and garden water ornaments.

Some new lambs this springtime (2004), I really need a
better camera for this sort of picture, but there are two
lambs, one is feeding under the sheep in the righthand
foreground.
A country house in its grounds, ( Not mine. ) its rather a long way off, but the end of
the drive is as close as you are allowed to go, else you
risk being shot by the landed gentry!

This is a popular local fishing lake, and a stream that
runs down a system of concrete falls from the pumping
station.

Some horses that live just down the road from me and a
bit of the local countryside.

This is my fish tank its mainly Goldfish but with some
White cloud mountain minnows, now if I could just train
them to stay still while I photograph them!!!
