Zap picture browser.

Zap is a fairly simple picture browser. Select a folder and any pictures will be displayed in a "film strip" across the top of the screen, right click on a picture and it will be displayed in full screen, left clicking returns you to the browser.
Pictures can also be displayed as a slide show, or mosaic (be careful if you click on any pictures while viewing the mosaic, as you are given the option to delete selected, or non selected pictures - read the help!).
Zap also allows you to select between one and four pictures for printing. It will resize and arrange the pictures to give the best possible fit.
Note: I did notice a slight bug, the print command from the menu does not work on my computer, but the print button is ok.
A wide selection of image formats are supported (some I hadn't heard of) and there is a good help file.
Settings are few and far between and there is no picture editing, but the program is very easy to use, provides a simple method of printing and has a very nice appearance.

FastStone maxview.

A basic image viewer that supports all major graphic formats. The program has a very nice slideshow feature and resizes images to fit the screen very smoothly.
