Canals & Boats (well, all things nautical).
*"Sea Cat"*
	You won't see this on the Shropshire Union! The 'Sea Cat' brought us from Liverpool to Douglas, Isle of Man.
*"Barge"*
	This barge wouldn't fit on the Shroppie either. It was seen at Keadby on the Keadby & Stainforth Canal.
*"Petrel"*
	"Petrel" seen on the Birmingham & Worcester Canal.
*"Sir Galleron"*
	"Sir Galleron" was our hire boat in 2002. Hired from Countrywide Cruisers at Brewood on the Shrophire Union Canal, it is seen here waiting to enter a lock on the Staffordshire & Worcester Canal.
*"Tunnel"*
	Tunnel at Tardebigge on the Birmingham & Worcester This photograph is a real surprise: I didn't think it would come out this well. The flash is the built in flash on the camera. I have taken similar pictures before, but I have always used a more powerful external flash gun.
*"Gears & Wheels"*
	The gears, ratchets and other metalwork which goes to make up the paddle gear on a lock gate on the Birmingham & Worcester Canal.
*"Avenue Bridge"*
	This is the view from the south of a rather ornate accommodation bridge on the Shropshire Union Canal. It was built thus at the insistence of the local land owners (the Gifford family) as the canal crossed his land and the avenue was the approach to Chillington Hall.
*"Early finish"*
	"Sir Galleron" moored up for the evening on the Shropshire Union canal, in the background the barbeque is prepared.

	This gate, just south of Norbury on the Shropshire Union canal, is to protect the rest of the canal in case of a breach.
*"Misty Morning"*
	The day we handed our hire boat back was misty early on, this just added to the atmosphere. This photograph has been digitally 'enhanced' to remove a plastic carrier bag.

	The junction of the Foss Dyke Navigation and the River Trent.

	The Chesterfield Canal at Ranby, near Worksop.

	The Boat Inn, Gnossal. This picture was taken one October Sunday morning in 2002.
