At the 2007 AGM it was announced that the society would be holding an annual points competition.  It is a way that the society could demonstrate their support for shows and to give something back to our members.

Them competition will run from 1st March to the end of February. The results will be announced at the following AGM.

Results for 2007/2008

Points can be claimed for awards in breed classes or AVNSC classes held at Open and Championship Shows. Dogs do not have to be Irish Red and White Setters but exhibitors DO need to be a member of the society.

Points are gained for awards as follows:

1st          3 points
2nd         2 points
3rd          1 point

and in addition

Best of Breed       5 points
Best Puppy          3 points

The top 10 exhibits will be recognised at the AGM, as will the Exhibitor with the most points.  It is hoped the competition will encourage the participation of as many exhibitors as possible
