Philosophy
Within the Judo sessions I create a positive environment, which encourages all my students to reach their full potential.
I implement innovative and creative teaching and learning strategies with both children and young athletes and provide high quality learning opportunities, this I believe allows for the best possible student experience. I act as a role model and provide differentiated learning experiences where all levels of students are respected and catered for.
I contribute to the assurance of academic quality as I make it a priority to take into consideration the evaluations that I receive after each session and modify further sessions accordingly.
I thoroughly enjoy my role as a Judo coach as it is allowing me to create and develop teaching materials, which are unique to both specific groups of students and the personal needs of individual students.
I am very proud of the fact the I was involved at the highest level within the sport of Judo for over ten years, representing the British Olympic Association in two Olympic Games, Los Angeles 1984 where I gained a bronze medal and 1988 in the Seoul Games, where I was the British team captain. I was a performance athlete and trained full-time on an elite basis.
