Robbie Valentine

Robbie Valentine started his musical career originally as a bass player, he backed a host of big names such as Lieutenant Stichie, Micheal Prophet and the late Bim Sherman to name a few.

His career as a singer took off after a chance meeting in 1988 with Clifton Specialist Dillon of Specs shang Records and Pioneer Muzik of Jamaica, at that time Specialist was involved in the staging and promoting of the annual Sting Reggae Concerts in Kingston Jamaica. Whilst visiting a friend in England, he heard Robbie's voice and was so impressed he flew him out to Jamaica to record him and to do a series of shows of which Sting was the biggest.
