Several reviews of these books have appeared, in addition to the inevitable Amazon reviews. Linux Journal reviewed Professional Linux Programming in it's May edition, saying Professional Linux Programming is a huge credit to both its authors and publishers.
It has also been reviewed by Dr. Dobb's journal, the review is available online. The ACCU has also reviewed both Beginning Linux Programming and Professional Linux Programming.

On this site you will also find the slides from two talks that we have given. Our first ever serious Linux talk was given at the Wrox 'non profit' conference in Bangalore in February 2000, and was entitled 'Beginning Linux Programming'.

The Bangalore Slides don't include the extensive hand's on demonstration, for obvious reasons :).

Our next talk was entitled Linux: past present and future, which we gave in November 2000 for the Leicester branch of the BCS. This talk was repeated for our two local Linux User Groups, the Leicester and Northants LUGs.

Moving along to November 2001, it was clearly time for another talk, this time on PostgreSQL, the excellent free relational database.
