Robin Hood's Bay...A Place For All Seasons! Home Page
For those who haven’t been to Robin Hood’s Bay before you will find that it is like stepping back in time. Unspoilt by consumerism the Bay has changed little since being the fishing and smuggling capital of the North East in the16th century. Its quaint old cottages are huddled together in a maze of tiny streets and alleyways that can only be explored on foot. The village is within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park which has a host of scenic and interesting walks. Within the village or nearby there are facilities for bowling, putting, tennis and horse riding. There are a number of cafes, restaurants and pubs in the village and there are also a number of gift shops, a small art gallery, a post office/general store and one or two other shops. Down on the coast there is a marvellous beach and an abundance of rock pools to explore.
