This website is mainly for me as I'm trying to become good at web design. My partner requires a regularly updated website which I have built and am gonna update and maintaining. One of the reasons I'm building up my own site is to learn new stuff about HTML, CSS etc in order to improve my partners site. I think there is vast room for improvement on what I've already done with Siobhan's site regarding the structure and coding. I need to be a bit more artistic and imaginative too.

I'm a bit of a hobbyist and do lots of things with my computer, but quite often forget how I've done them. This site will be a record of what I've done and how to do it again if needed. I want to feature lots of stuff about Linux because I want to migrate from Windows to a Linux distro. I've used versions of Linux before but have always drifted back to my copy of Windows 2000. Like most of us I'm just more familiar with a Windows environment. However, my version is getting a bit old now, and am I gonna buy Vista off of Mr Gates? Hell no!

I'm learning the Dutch language on and off so I shall document my experiences and add cool Dutch links. Siobhan and I visit the Netherlands a lot because we have friends there. Ik hou van Nederland!!

I hope to keep a record of mine and Siobhan's family and what they are up to, but to be honest it sounds like quite a lot of work. But dang, I'll give it a go. I'm still investigating the potential of things like facebook and youtube for doing the family stuff. Oh yeah, and my cat misty, lots of stuff about misty :-)

I signed up to video.google the other day so now I can upload lots of lovely video stuff for everyone to view. Nice. Also I've started a blog. This is where I'm gonna try and put all my news, just click on the news link to your left to get there. It's fab, cos as it's a blog your are able to post pictures and vids on it. Yabadabadoo!!! I have joined webforumz in order to make contact with individuals developing there own sites. It is already proving invaluable as I am able to solve problems I encounter by discussing them with some very friendly and knowledgable forum members :-) There are forums for html and css among many others.
